Sketches from the Void - prints

Technically, the cycle is based on the aesthetic of a palimpsest—layering formal and semiotic meanings upon one another. The raw, almost anatomical realism of the figures stands in stark contrast to the violent, expressive lines and technical sketches, which evoke the feeling of scientific annotations made on the margins of existence. A restrained color palette, dominated by deep blacks and off-whites, is punctuated by the symbolic use of color, drawing the viewer's attention to key compositional and emotional nodes.

These works elude simple definition, oscillating between melancholy and an intellectual fascination with the order of the universe. They serve as a visual record of the search for man’s place within the structure of time and space, where the void is understood not as an absence, but as a field of potential. Each composition compels reflection on what remains permanent within us and what dissipates in the process of stellar evolution, turning the observer into a participant in this silent, cosmic drama.
